Nightwish studio update


Nightwish bassist/vocalist Marco Hietala has posted the following update on their website:

Manowar To Play Entire "Battle Hymns" Album In Cleveland

Heavy metal legends Manowar have announced that it will be performing its now classic debut album, 1982's "Battle Hymns", in its entirety during the band's headlining performance on March 12, 2011 at the Agora in Cleveland, Ohio. The performance is being billed as the band's one and only scheduled appearance in North America. Tickets go on sale January 7, 2011 with support on the bill coming from Holyhell.

Dream Theater in studio


DREAM THEATER have officially entered the studio to begin work on their first album without drummer and founding member Mike Portnoy. The band's guitarist, John Petrucci, writes on his Twitter profile, "First day in studio [and] the dawn of a new era for Dream Theater. Can't wait to get the music flowing."
