Dotma is a female-fronted symphonic power metal band from Hyvinkää, Finland.

It was year 2005 when a group of friends decided to form a band that was to be THE power metal band of all time. The idea to the lyrics lay deep within the mysteries of The Middle Ages, you know, in the time when the wild era of mighty dragons still prevailed. The aim was likewise to create pompous and captivating harmonies in the melodies from one to another. The band started to gain its form slowly but still certainly (well, not always that certainly) and in the autumn 2006 the member set-up was finally stable. Rehearsal place became their second home and the setlist kept on increasing.

Korpiklaani is a folk metal band from Lahti, Finland formed in 2003. Korpiklaani is the new name of the band previously calledShaman, that was formed by Jonne Järvelä who still remains the mastermind of Korpiklaani. Whilst Shaman recorded songs in the original Saami language, Korpiklaani recorded most songs in English at first, and mostly Finnish lyrics on their most recent albums.

Stratovarius | good and bad news

Keyboardplayer Jens Johansson has posted the following update on their website:

"the good news is that we're back on the road with Helloween. And Jörg Michael is back in his drum chair after his brush with death. The bad news is that Timo Kotipelto caught some sort of bacterial infection. We suspect it was something from the backstage food in December, but we don't know. Two of the other people on the tour had the same thing: a very bad dysentery-like stomach infection with vomiting and diarrhea, dehydration, also eventually had to go to hospital, etc.

Stratovarius | New Album Elysium

Within a couple of days the new album of Stratovarius will be released.
On January 12th 2011 in Asia and worldwide on January 14th 2011.


There is already an EP available with a demo track and two unreleased live tracks recorded on their Polaris world tour.

"Me and André Matos, have been here in the middle of a Swedish forest for a week recording vocals.
We rented a cabin which is at a top of a hill with an amazing view.
